Boys basketball secures another win

Evan Shibel, Reporter

The boys Raider basketball team continued their hot streak with a second straight win on the road at Shawnee Mission Northwest on Friday. They dominated the game winning 68-54. Senior forward Skyler Rhoads led the way with 24 points. This was a performance that dictates what Skyler told me preseason saying he wanted to dominate his senior season. Skyler also credited his coaching staff for being”the best scouts in the league” helping them prep for every situation that could occur in game. Senior guard Evan Hickman, coming off a cold opener, had a strong 17 to support. Two players in double figures was a big thing that helped carry the team to their second straight victory. Looking to continue their hot streak they will play at home against Olathe North Tuesday, then a tough road match at Gardner Edgerton next Friday. The JV team also picked up their third victory on the road with the sophomore duo of Jack Webb and Andrew Brewer leading the way combining for 25 points. Make sure to come out and support your boys basketball team Tuesday night at home against Olathe North. The theme is white out and the game starts at 7:00, JV at 5:30.
