    Keeping up, senior Micah Kirkwood tries to stay close and defend an opposing west player in order to steal the ball back. With Micah being only about 5 '4, her height poses some difficult struggles, but she powers through it, defending every game in hopes she’ll get past everyone. “I’ve been on varsity for all four years of high school, so having this be my last year makes it feel so surreal and it makes me want to try even harder to achieve things. Being number one in the state makes me feel like we can do anything, it gives me the courage to try new things out mid game and succeed in them.” Kirkwood said.
