Too Expensive for School?

Most students at South are carrying around some pretty expensive equipment. Namely, the brand new Macbook Airs. While you need to bring those for class everyday, there are a lot of risky chances you are taking when you bring them to and from school everyday, such as damage occurring or even theft. Remember this can happen to anyone at anytime, and that’s why it’s best only to bring the absolutely essential expensive items that are needed to function efficiently.

Leave the $200 Beats headphones at home and bring an inexpensive pair to use instead. You’ll undergo a lot less stress if the inexpensive pair is stolen or broken than if either of those scenarios happened to the Beats. You can’t completely trust your schoolmates to not steal your pencil so why would you trust them to not steal your more expensive items? You shouldn’t take the risk, like I mentioned earlier it can happen to anyone at anytime.

Technology theft has been rising in recent years. This mainly due to the fact that thieves can get up to  half of the value of electronics they steal in cash. The penalties for property theft are less than robbery if caught. I’m not necessarily saying that you’re fellow classmates are going to pawn your stuff, but it’s not impossible.

Also, if you do bring expensive items to school, don’t leave them out. Keep them with you or buried deeply in your backpack when you aren’t using them. Don’t make it easier for someone to steal it by leaving it out where it would be easily accessible. Final statement: nice and expensive items if not necessary should be left at home or kept with you at all times.
