Hunter Hayes, 23, is a country music artist. In 2011, Hayes released his self-titled album. The record reaching number seven on the Billboard 200. “Wanted”, has sold over 3.5 million copies, making Hayes the youngest ever to reach the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs.

Hayes is a modern country singer who is sometimes classified as pop-country. On tour, Hayes performs with a mixture of

“Last time I was here, I played the Midland (for any of you were bared the cold last time, thank you for that), but I want to thank you for coming out. It means a whole lot to me, as an artist, to play the same stage as so many artists who have been around longer than me,” Hayes said during the show.

Hayes visited the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO, Nov. 15, for his Tattoo Your Name Tour. As Kansas City doesn’t have a medium-sized concert venue, the Sprint Center was sectioned off and reducing the amount of seats total, to about half of the original value.

“The last time I was in the Sprint Center, I was sitting way up top, watching [someone] perform,” Hayes said, “It’s amazing to be here, living a dream of mine: to come back to the Sprint Center, but to perform.”

With a combination of his wonderful personality, amazing music and upbeat atmosphere, the concert was very enjoyable. As a person who hadn’t listened to his music all that much, I question why I hadn’t looked into him more. After seeing him live, I have a new appreciation for his music.
