Candidates for Sweetheart court were announced Friday. Seniors voted to choose the candidates, but the winners will be chosen by all students.

Several of the candidates were not in school the day the nominees were announced because of the basketball tournament in Chanute, Kan. These students were not able to take group photos and take part in the announcement festivities.

“I understand that people have things to do, so it’s not a big deal,” junior and StuCo secretary Cinthia Romo said. “Just as long as they have their pictures in by Monday, cause that’s when we’re putting them on the board.”

Voting will open at the end of the Sweetheart Assembly, Feb. 12, and the winners will be announced that night at the basketball game.
