Senior Karynn Carroll has signed to the University of Central Missouri to run cross country and track as of Nov. 10. At her signing ceremony, cross country head coach J.J. Wannamaker and cross country assistant coach DJ Hilding were present. Athletic director John Johnson also was present to say a few words about Carroll and her accomplishments.
“I chose UCM because I felt like I got along with the girls on the team really well and they gave me a great offer,” Carroll said.
Throughout her four years on the varsity squad, Carroll has earned All-Metro honors, All-Sunflower League Honors and has qualified for State three times. In her two years (so far) of varsity track, she has qualified for the annual KU Relays and, in 2016, she was a member of the 4×800 meter relay team that qualified for State. The relay placed 10th at the State Championship meet in Wichita.
“I’m just really excited to see where the future takes me at UCM and I’m looking forward to next year,” Carroll said.
