From Tulas, Oklahoma Eric Waller aims for the flag with his final put of the hole. Waller missed the shot and moved on after a few more failed attempts.
College friends, Mike Mantle and Paul Migliazzo joined the golf tournament as a team once again. Mantle and Migliazzo played college football together for the Oklahoma Sooners and even won the championship in 1985. Mantle went on to become the season MVP.Aiming for the green, Rob Peters tees off to start the game. Peters came with friend Eric Waller from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Peters and Waller said “We came because we thought it was a good cause.”
Joining the cause, athletic director John Johnson played for his third year in a row. Johnson claimed to have never won and did not plan to.Breaking records, the Father’s Connections golf tournament reached a count of 92 men participating in the 2017 event. After the men finish their game they were to meet at Johnny’s Tavern for some continued bonding and conversation.
