Last year’s basketball team was 2 minutes away from competing in a state championship. They were the number 4 team in the state and had multiple players on All-State and Sunflower league teams. This was one of the best teams Coach McFall had ever had. A six senior veteran team with weapons all over the court.

Now that six seniors are gone, and so is 98% of the teams scoring, the team gets turned over to many players who had never played on the varsity court. In the first two games of the season the varsity inexperience showed with double digit losses to Blue Valley North and Blue Valley West, but the team also showed signs of life and growth with scoring runs and stringing together defensive stops.

They now prepare to get their first win on their first home game of the year vs. Olathe West. Its a season of the young team proving themselves on the court.
