The 2023 prom spirit week was announced just hours ago, on Pep’s Club Instagram [@smspepclub]. 

Monday – Groutfit, Tuesday – Zoom iRl, Wednesday – College Team Gear, Thursday – Stay In vs. Go Out and Friday – Class Colors. Freshmen are black, sophomores are white, juniors gold and seniors are green.

“I think these are different from what we’ve done before, and I think the students will really enjoy participating throughout the week,” senior Shyanna Lindsey said. “I’m most excited for Zoom IRL and Stay in vs Go out. I haven’t seen other schools do those so I think it’ll be fun to see what people come up with. 

Even though only juniors and seniors are able to go to prom. Everyone gets to enjoy the spirit week. 

“I’m so excited because Groutfit is one of the days and it’s my favorite spirit day and we never do it. I think it’s fun to kind of get to be a part of prom even though I don’t get the opportunity to go.” sophomore Leila Henderson said.
