Matthew Shipley resigned as the head baseball coach on August 24th in a press release from the athletic office.
According to the press release, Shipley “resigned his position to pursue new opportunities.”
This was unexpected news For Junior Varsity Coach Aidan Simecka.
“Obviously not something I was expecting to hear or see coming back to school that day,” Simecka said.
Shipley had been a coach since 2021. Under Shipley, the Raider baseball team went 10-29-1 in his two seasons.
“I thought he was making a positive direction in leading the program to be more competitive in the sunflower league,” Simecka said.
Shipleys resignation leaves the administration in search of a coach before the start of the spring season.
