Chiefs Fans Break World Record

Ask any quarterback in the league and they will tell you that Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is one of the toughest places to play. The noise is deafening and the intensity is off the wall. Fans smeared with facepaint and barbeque sauce fill the stands and make playcalling a nightmare for the opposing team. This year alone, the chiefs fan base has put up more impressive numbers than the Jacksonville Jaguars actual team.

In a heated rivalry game against the Oakland Raiders, the crowd contributed to three delay of game penalties, and cheered the Chiefs defense to a 4th and 48. Later in the game, after an interception from rookie cornerback Marcus Cooper, the crowd made history. They broke the world record for loudest stadium in professional sports, hitting 137.5 decibels.

With the help of an undefeated team, the fans in Kansas City landed themselves in the Guinness Book of World Records, and restored the roar to Arrowhead.
