The Best Boba in KC

Boba (Bubble tea): Taiwanese tea based drink but sometimes made with sweetened milk or other flavorings. Inside these drinks are “pearls” or tapioca balls.

If you are on a shopping trip at Oak Park Mall and are searching for a refreshing drink, I would definitely recommend the Boba kiosk located on the top floor. The drink may seem expensive at $4.00 but with the amount you receive it is worth every penny. With a variety of flavors to choose from, you will be sure to find a drink to quench your thirst.

  1. Tea Drops, Westport 4111 Pennsylvania Ave Kansas City, MO 64111

When exploring the many different attractions around Westport or in the Plaza district, Tea Drops is the place to go to for a break. They not only serve excellent boba drinks, but they also sell various type of tea leaves and food. The environment is cafe style where you can chat with friends or catch up on homework. The boba is slightly more expensive at $4.90 after tax but the quality and taste were better than other boba shops. Their most popular drink is the taro milk tea.

While buying fresh produce from the Farmers’ Market don’t forget to try the boba place. The price is the same as the one at the mall at $4.00 (for a large it is just $0.50 more). However, the drinks did not meet my expectations. The drinks here were not as blended and the flavor was a bit bland. Although it was not my best experience, I plan to go back and try other drinks from the extensive menu. Their most popular drinks are the original bubble ice tea and thai ice bubble tea.
