Blackout Dance Canceled for Basketball Season

Because of scheduling conflicts, the traditional Blackout dance is not happening. In past years, StuCo has put on Blackout after the first home basketball game.

“The dance happens right after basketball,” StuCo sponsor Cynthia Hartwell said. “There was no way to schedule it. There just wasn’t a basketball game that made sense.”

Blackout was popular because of the T-shirts that would sell out.

“It wasn’t that we couldn’t do it, because we don’t mind having it. It’s a tough year as far as the basketball schedule,” athletic director John Johnson said.

StuCo is trying to schedule another dance in the spring.
