ABC, Easy as RG3: Run, Russell, Run!

Winning 88-60, I can see a slight chance of a comeback before the playoffs arrive. I had great performances but also bad news leading into the future. With an already depleted running back lineup, my only consistent running back has been Ahmad Bradshaw, who unfortunately broke his fibula in the Colt’s loss to the Patriots, most likely ending his season. No doubt his loss will hurt but not terribly with the presence of the explosive Jeremy HIll and Denard Robinson aiding my team to a comeback.

Although Denard Robinson was on a bye week in week 10 he is the main source of offensive production for the weak Jacksonville Jaguars offense. Averaging 15.5 fantasy points in his last four games and playing the Colt’s defense, who allowed Jonas Gray to have 199 rushing yards and four touchdowns last Sunday, he will have surely have a breakout game. When Giovani Bernard is riding the bench, Jeremy gets at least 20 touches and 150 yards on the ground. This week Hill and the Bengals are facing the Houston Texans, who better look out for trouble with Hill rumbling through.

Two MVP’s came from my week 11 win: Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Nelson is currently in his dream season, ranking as one of the top wide receivers. Coming off 109 yard and one touchdown game against the exploited the Eagles defense for 16 fantasy points, Nelson and the Packers look forward to another win against the generous Vikings defense who allow on average 7.91 yards per target to opposing wideouts.

Matching up with the Chiefs stingy pass rush defense I took a risk playing Wilson against our hometown favorite. The risk paid off as Wilson did exceptionally well in the air and on the ground. Earning 22 fantasy points on 71 rushing yards on eight attempts and 178 passing yards for two touchdowns, Wilson performed perfectly, doing well for my fantasy team while losing to the Chiefs. Wilson’s next matchup is against the division leading Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals defense allows the second fewest rushing yards per game while allowing the third most passing yards. Wilson will have to change his conservative passing game to adjust to the top caliber rush defense of the Cardinals.

Looking for the underdog victory over 7-3 Evan Howell I have picked up a few new prospects for my fantasy team. Replacing Antonio Gates who has struggled recently, Colts backup tight end Coby Fleener will be in the starting lineup once again. After a career game last week, he faces a soft Jaguars defense making Fleener an obvious pickup. Jonas Gray was unknown until last Sunday when he received his chance. Not letting the Patriots down he was unstoppable. Hiis performance this week will be unclear against a Lions tough defense but I’m willing to take that chance. Trying to make a huge splash in my defense I have picked up the Packers who are coming off a 26 point performance. Against a young quarterback from the Vikings the Packers will make his life hell.
