Parks and Rec Series Finale Tonight

Parks and Rec Series Finale Tonight

Amelia Holcomb

Parks and Recreation’s seven year run will come to a close tonight at 7. Amy Poehler’s comedy, originally about her character Leslie Knope’s quest to build a park out of a pit, will end with Leslie moving on from her beloved hometown of Pawnee, Indiana. Washington D.C. holds an administrative job on the National Parks Service for her and a potential job in office for her husband.

The show has evolved from a single Leslie fighting through the struggles of wanting to change things in local government to now being in a head position of the National Parks Service with a husband and 3-year old triplets.

Along the way was filled with classic Gary/Jerry/Larry screw-ups and one liners from Ron about vegetarianism. In addition to more of both of those, hopefully the final episode of the series will feature the return of Ann and Chris (and baby!), possibly another cameo showing one of Leslie’s political heroes, and a look into the future for Tom and Lucy’s marriage. Whatever is in store for Leslie and the rest of the park’s crew, it will surely be a fantastic end to a long series that has been filled with laughs.  If you need to catch up on any episodes, seasons 1-6 are available on Netflix and all the previous episodes of season 7 are on nbc.com.
