Spring Sports Preview

Preview of the 2016 Spring Sports

Keeli Ward, Writer

With winter sports coming to an end, spring sports started on Monday, Feb. 29. For it being spring, the weather has been pretty nice. With the weather being nice, teams are actually able to go outside to tryout.

Some of the sports here at South have gotten new coaches including tennis and softball.

“[We are affected] greatly because they were a big asset to our team,” said junior Sabrina Swartz, who is plays shortstop. “They pulled us through the season and helped us become better players.”

The new coach for softball is Jay Bredwell.
“I expect everyone to do their best even though we have a new coach because even though there is a new coach, it shouldn’t change how we apply ourselves,” Swartz said.
