The boys soccer team ended their season by being defeated by Blue Valley West in their second Regionals game yesterday 3-1.The goal in the this game was scored by junior Angel Guzman.

Monday, Oct. 24 the team had a victory in their first Regionals game against Olathe South. The goals in this game were scored by Guzman and Ryan Rigler.

In one of the regular season games against Olathe South, the Raiders scored in the last 10 seconds of the game making the score a tie. Not only was the regular game exciting, but overtime was also exciting. The Raiders won the game by scoring in the last 5 seconds of overtime.

“My favorite memory was coming back from 2-1 against Olathe South scoring in the last 10 seconds of regular time and then in the last five seconds of overtime,” senior goalie Ethan Iba said.

The teams record was 11-7.  This year was the most successful for some of the players on the team.

“[The season] went pretty well. It was the best season that I have had my entire high school career. We had a nine out of 10 win streak and that was a lot of fun,” Iba said.
