Lady Raiders take an overwheling victory over the Storm Jan. 3 in the 810 Varsity showcase 42 at Blue Valley North

In Saturday’s 810 Varsity Showcase 42, the Raiders beat the Notre Dame de Sion Storm 73-25.

The Raiders (5-1) came into the contest ranked second in the Kansas class 6A. The Storm (5-2) entered the contest ranked fourth in Missouri Class 4 District 13.

The Raiders had a halftime lead of 37-10 and didn’t look back, outscoring the Storm 36-15.

“In the second and third quarter, we were able to go at the pace we wanted,” Raider head coach Mark Western said. “We scored 24 and 48. That’s a very good clip.”

Raider junior Ella Jack led all scorers with 18 points. Storm junior Sydney Blaine led the Storm with 10 points.

“My teammates were able to find me and just got good open looks,” Jack said.

The Raiders (6-1) will be back in action Friday, Jan. 9, at home against SM West. The Storm (5-3) will be back in action Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Christ Prep.
